CyStorm is an AMD Opteron cluster with at least 2528 processor cores (316 nodes) with each node having 8 GBytes of memory (about 2.5 TB total memory on the cluster). Nodes are interconnected with a high performance Infiniband communication network for MPI communication and a Gigabit Ethernet switch for I/O, management, and PBS communication. 36 Terabytes of RAID-6 storage are integrated into the cluster. The peak performance of each processor is 4.4 Gflops so 2528 processors give a peak performance of 10.86 teraflops).
